Jeff Cooper

Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder

As ePlata’s chief visionary and evangelist, Jeff crafts launch and growth strategies, manages relationships, and directs its flight path. Jeff is also the founder and chairman of Eudora Global, LLC, a portfolio management company with ownership and management interests in a diverse range of companies (including ePlata) with offices in St. Louis, Chicago, Tampa Bay, Las Vegas, Washington, D.C. and Beijing. Previously, Jeff was the managing partner of SimmonsCooper, a diversified litigation firm ranging in areas from asbestos to complex international financial litigation, whereby he led the firm’s explosive growth from 20 employees to over 650 in five years. Jeff earned a Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University along with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from DePauw University.

Fred Licon

Chief Operating Officer and Co-founder

Fred leads all operational aspects of ePlata’s administration, policies, objectives and initiatives to ensure future growth. Previously, Fred served as the director of government and community affairs for Wynn Resorts, Ltd. and Las Vegas Sands Corp., where he developed corporate citizenship and brand promotion strategies in emerging domestic and international gaming jurisdictions. A native Spanish speaker with extensive business experience across Latin America, Fred has closed deals with entities ranging from media providers to multi-national conglomerates. Fred earned a Master of Arts in Political Science at the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in Political Economy at Williams College and Exeter College, University of Oxford.

Dan Scanlan

Chief Strategy Officer and Co-founder

Dan contributes his seasoned financial acumen to ePlata, where he oversees the company’s capital structure activities and manages the corporate accounting operations. Throughout his 20-plus years of professional finance, commercial, and investment banking experience, Dan has accrued a diversified skillset working in both corporate and boutique investment institutions. As a national account manager at Wells Fargo Bank, NA, Dan assisted in expanding a $5 billion portfolio. While in a private venture capital setting, he raised and syndicated close to $500 million in private debt and hybrid equity transactions in various asset classes. Dan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard University.

David Bamper

Chief Financial Officer

With over 25 years of expertise in transactional accounting procedures and senior-level management, David oversees the accounting operations, financial planning and analysis and tax functions at ePlata. Prior to joining ePlata, David spent nearly 13 years as chief financial officer at SimmonsCooper, one of the nation’s leading plaintiffs' law firm. Although based in the Midwest, David was instrumental in expanding the firm’s national coverage, developing an intricate system of policies and procedures for handling a vast number of client transactions and expenses. A certified public accountant, David earned his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville..

James Mrowka

Chief Product Officer and CTO

Jim leads product development efforts for ePlata and brings over 20 years of technology product, operations and business development experience to the company. He architected the ePlata SaaS digital wallet and payment system and led a talented team in the development of this broad and dynamic platform. Prior to joining ePlata, Jim was President and Co-Founder of Genesant Technologies where he had a prominent role in the company’s evolution into one of the leading SaaS providers in the health and fitness industry and the development of its patented Talk-to-Track AI platform. Prior to Genesant, Jim worked at Goldman Sachs and Prudential Securities as a mortgage-backed bond trader. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard University.

Seb Tena

Director of Mexico

A native of Mexico City, Seb is responsible for preparing and executing ePlata’s rollout business strategy in Mexico. In addition to preparing the launch of ePlata’s service domestically, Seb cultivates and manages relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that ePlata reinvents money transfers in Mexico and Latin America through its proprietary multi-currency digital wallet. Prior to joining ePlata, Seb served as commercial director for PayU, a leading online payment services provider in global growth markets, where he managed premium accounts, including Adidas, Maya Air, Grupo Marti, Caliente, Innova Sports and Trillonario. Seb earned a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Windsor.
